Jonatan Fullerton Støier, PhD
Chief Operating & Technology Officer (Co-Founder)
Jonatan is a translational drug discovery scientist (PhD in Neuroscience) specializing in assay development and execution that answers the real question—potency, target engagement, mechanism-of-action, and reproducibility. He has 10+ years of hands-on experience across academia and biotech, spanning cell line engineering (CRISPR/lenti/PiggyBac), protein biochemistry, live-cell fluorescence imaging, and high-content and plate-based assay formats.
Before co-founding Biohagen Labs, Jonatan led early discovery and validation work at Novo Holdings SeedLab (BiOrigin), where he built scalable cellular and biochemical workflows (high-content imaging, NanoBRET/NanoBiT, luciferase/reporters, and biosensors) and delivered decision-ready data packages for early-stage programs. He also runs omics-enabled MoA projects, coordinating SLAMseq and whole-exome sequencing with CROs and independently interpreting large datasets to identify resistance mechanisms and support target validation. Jonatan is a co-inventor on a patent covering a first-in-class small-molecule inhibitor and has first-authored and contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications.
