Facilities & Location

Based at the Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC), University of Copenhagen

Biohagen Labs operates from dedicated lab space at BRIC, one of Denmark’s leading life science environments for translational research. We run hands-on experiments at our own bench and draw on BRIC’s shared infrastructure, biosafety facilities, and core platforms when a project calls for it. The result is fast iteration, high-quality data, and the right assay platform for the question.

In-house lab essentials (our dedicated bench space)

  • Standard wet-lab setup (pipettes, centrifuges, water baths)

  • PCR machines and Thermomixers

  • Gel electrophoresis and Western blot workflows

  • Digital chemiluminescence imaging (ChemiDoc)

  • Plate-based readouts (CLARIOstar Plus)

BRIC-hosted infrastructure (included with our lab space)

  • Cold storage (fridges, freezers, -80°C, liquid nitrogen)

  • Dedicated LAF bench and incubators for GSL-1 work

  • GSL-2 access for work with lentivirus, relevant cell lines, and human samples under institutional biosafety procedures

Core facility access (when the project needs it)

  • Flow cytometry and sorting (analysis and FACS sorting)

  • Imaging (confocal, high-content, live-cell imaging)

  • Sequencing and single-cell (Illumina, long-read, 10x Chromium)

  • qPCR instruments (for 96- and 386-well plate formats)

  • Automation (liquid handling, acoustic dispensing, dispensers, plate washing)
